We offer from the local Tourist Board a MAP with the points of interest and in our guest living room is a beautiful picture book with the historical sites in RICHTERSWIL.
Old houses and modern facilities combined with beautiful public green along the lakeside. Visit nice restaurants and shops waiting for you in an old village center - walk through tiny alleys or along the lakeside promenade and discover something very swiss:

Beauty in detail and in small size and the comfort of small distances.
Richterswil is not one of those destinations printed on Swiss chocolate wraps - and therefore not crowded with tourist buses. But you reach all these excursion points comfortably, also with nice rides by train, and come home into the village with all its charme and beauty throughout the whole year.

Starting from B&B Villa Magnolia after a
5 minutes walk you can rent a small boat, swim in the lake or go fishing.
Tennis and horse riding nearby. ALPAMARE - Waterfunpark 10 km. Golf grounds and lots of other sports are available in the region. If you are looking for "Heidiland-landscape" you just have to walk or drive to the higher parts of the village to "Burghalden" - trainstation (view from there: first photo) or to Richterswil- Samstagern and the "Hüttensee" or to the "ETZEL" with a breathtaking view over the Lake of Zurich. Anyway we offer advice for trips.

With the rapid transit railway system, punctual like a Swiss watch, it is easy to tour Zurich for sightseeing, shopping, or business. S2/S8 in25 min to Main Station/the City of Zurich
Take the ship to Rapperswil with its medieval towers or a train to famous Lucerne, or visit the architectural beauty of Einsiedeln (old town and monastery).

Spring- and Autumn- and X-mas- Markets, fleamarkets, Fasnacht with Guggenmusik, "The Brass Band of Richterswil Samstagern Musikverein" or "The Swan Big Band of Horgen" make the WYSSHUSPLATZ a swinging dance floor.

HIGHLIGHTS:
♥ The Richterswil "RÄBECHILBI" in November (mentioned in the Guinessbook of records) where thousands of lights are decorated around the houses and the whole village celebrates with music and beautiful "Räbe"- pictures carried through the village with brassbandmusic.

♥ The Summer events in the HORN-Park at the lake, like "Ciné au Lac" or "Chilbi". Not to forget: National Holiday on 1rst August where the Fountain of Richterswil dashes into the sky and fireworks over the ETZEL and around the lake color the sky ( click also ► EVENTS).
